🚨 The Global State of Scams - 2023 Report is OUT NOW 🚨 A staggering $1.026 trillion was lost to scams in the past year, affecting 1-in-4 individuals worldwide! The latest study conducted by the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA), ScamAdviser.com, and academics from the University of Twente has unveiled many alarming figures. Key Insights: 📞📲 61% of respondents were scammed via phone calls, followed by SMS/Text Message (58%). 🛍️ Shopping scams top the list at 27%, followed by identity theft and investment fraud. 🌏 A significant disparity exists between perceived scam awareness and real-world vulnerability. 💔 Beyond financial loss, the emotional impact is profound, with 60% of victims reporting significant emotional distress.
