0.7% of Denmark's GDP was lost to scams in the 12 months prior to April 2024, finds this study by GASA and Biocatch.
The 2024 State of Scams in Sweden report found that 1-in-8 Swedes fell victim to online scams, with an alarming 45% encountering scams at least once per month. As a result, the losses to scams rose from 0.40% of Sweden’s GDP to 0.50% against the previous 12-month period.

State of Scams in Sweden Report - 2024

The 2024 State of Scams in Sweden report found that 1-in-8 Swedes fell victim to online scams, with an alarming 45% encountering scams at least once per month. As a result, the losses to scams rose from 0.40% of Sweden’s GDP to 0.50% against the previous 12-month period.
Survey statistics reveal a financial impact, with 13% of those approached reporting monetary losses, averaging $4,031. Extrapolating to the larger population, approximately 621,872 Singaporeans over 18 have fallen victim to scams, resulting in a total loss of $2.5 billion, equivalent to 0.5% of the nation's GDP.
